Ceramic hone is great value, indispensable

I ordered this hone as a swap (slightly more $$) for the travel hone when I purchased the Apex 4. Before the Apex, I had upgraded from an 8" to a 12" ribbed steel hone and liked the extra length (8" feels a bit short for 10" knives, the 10" would probably be fine but I like to err towards a longer hone). Once you use this hone on sharp blades you will realize that your ribbed steel hone was dulling the knife you just sharpened. Highly recommended.
