For the longest lasting edge, use 6000 grit polishing tapes to create an ultra-high mirror-like finish. These blade sharpening tools require a "polish tape blank" and have their own adhesive backing. Polishing grit tapes are professional polishing tools that can be used approximately 5 times before they need to be replaced. Find Edge Pro polishing tapes in other grits in the accessories above.

6000 Grit Tape
I was already pleased with the 3000-grit tape, but the 6000-grit adds a mirror finish. All of my EDC knife sharpenings will end with the 6000-grit from now on.

These tapes are perfect for honing straight razors. Glass mounting is dead flat. Angles are consistent. Beautiful polished bevels.

These polish tapes are an awesome tool for sharpening microtome knives! Final 6000 grit polish produces ideal knife edge for cutting paraffin sections of 2-4 micron of thickness. I have tried the Edge Pro System with a glass block and these 6000 polish tapes recently and I believe that's the best result I've ever seen with my knife.

This tape is awesome! It is the final tape that will almost get you there when sharpening a straight razor! Puts an EXTREMELY high polish on the edge (to 0.9 microns I believe). If you are sharpening straight razors, you will still need a strop to finish it off.
