Edge pro stones
Great quality. Love that made in America thing. Have been forging knives now for about 5 years. Never freehand edge on my knives. Always use edge pro. Also use it to re establish edges on store bought blades. Hair splitting edges when finished

Great for a first pass or reprofiling
This is great for removing a bunch of material fast, making sharpening go a lot faster. This is a stone that can get a beginner in trouble as it is very aggressive, but for someone with experience this can speed up the process significantly.

Better than diamond matrix
It took me a while to realize these stones (all grits) are 10 times better than your diamond matrix, even on steels such as S35VN and Elmax at 60 to 62 HRC. The finer grit diamond matrix are better for finishing and polishing an edge but for anything else they’re a waste of time. Makes me wonder why you even sell the coarser grit diamond stones.

The stone works, but there is an issue I keep running into. Be SURE to lap this stone on the SiC leveling kit, if you let the surface smooth out from use, you will find the stone will not cut aggressively anymore. Also it does wear very fast. Lap it after every use!

You will need this one for saving your friends abused knives, you won't need it on your own after you bring them up to scratch. order 2 or 3 extra

Very helpful stone to reshape a very dull knife. The only complaint is how quickly these stones wear. Would be nice to have them 2x thicker.

This stone works GREAT for normal, every-day knife sharpening when you need to remove a lot of steel fast, or to remove any bad nicks or dings in the edge... the only other step to remove more steel faster is a belt sander =). This stone is a "must have" for your stone collection! It will save you a LOT of time and wearing on your other stones.
